File version management

FLO Media Viewer can be deployed in a variety of ways. And often this includes proofing of files. A nice feature is such a proofing workflow is the possibility to compare different versions of the file.

Quality checks

One option would be to use FLO Media Viewer to simply overlay different documents and images on top of each other. This can consist of a newer version of the document, but it might also be the same document, rendered in different ways.

Elpical Claro, for example, is used to automatically enhance the quality of images. This is done based on input channels, which contain the settings for the enhancement. During development of such a channel, the users of Claro (or Premedia Server) will test different settings to see which provides the best results. The output of these different attempts can be placed on top of each other in the viewer, to allow very fast comparison of the different versions.

Automatic difference detection

The same can apply for different versions of artwork. Only for this, you might want to turn on the automatic image comparison feature of FLO Media Viewer. This will detect differences between the two versions of the file, and highlight them in the flash output. The user can see the new version, the old version, the new version including differences, or just the difference highlight.
