FLO Media Viewer is ideally suited to be integrated into your production workflows. One of the great features for this is the possibility to gather user contents in the viewer.

Annotations in FLO Media Viewer work very similar to the annotations in Acrobat, and are very user-friendly. A list of all comments is available, and users can create/change/move comments on top of the artwork.

Gathering comments

Users can add comments to the document using an easy interface. If previous annotation rounds have already taken place, they can be inserted into the created viewer as initial content (which may or may not be changeable by the next user).

Using the feedback

The annotations can be used by your creative people in a number of ways:

  • Embed the annotations in the original PDF file
  • Add a new layer to the original InDesign document, with visualization and text
  • Create an HTML report of the comments
  • Use the annotations XML

Integrating annotations in your own web interface

FLO Media Viewer can allow your web application to insert or extract annotations using javascript. This way you can populate the initial view, but also extract the user's comments and insert them into your own databases for future use.

Using FLO Media Server

FLO Media Server can be installed on your web server, so you don't need to worry about any development. This application can handle saving and retreiving of the proper XML files.
